Ever wonder how much is being invested in trails in other communities? Well, here’s an article that shows how six other PA communities have recently been awarded over $4.25 million in trail funding through a PA State Infrastructure Grant. The same kinds of awards are possible here, should we be able to align our priorities and speak with one voice.
Thankfully, our board of commissioners recently pledged to make a financial investment in the Black’s Run Bridge Project. We’re grateful for that progress. But, time is ticking and we quickly need to work toward greater clarity about what that means. All kinds of state and local funds are on the table at present. We cannot drag our feet or this momentary opportunity will be squandered.
