Beaver County continues to lag behind neighboring communities when it comes to adopting a regional vision for trail connectivity. This reality became increasingly clear again last week, when the Ohio River Trail Council learned that the Borough of Sewickley recently approved the Ohio River Greenway Trail Route as part of the Aleppo Sewickley Glen Osborne Joint Comprehensive Plan.
County leaders surrounding Beaver County are aligning priorities, vision, and resources with plans long in place. Yet here in Beaver County we continue to be told “that won’t work” or “we’re not willing to take the risk.” Trails are coming to the front door of Beaver County, and such excuses are no longer justified or acceptable.
